In his Paris studio, Venezuelan artist Elias Crespin invites us into a mesmerising meditation on time, space, and form.
Suspended by near-invisible threads, his electrokinetic sculptures translate complex algorithms into a fluid, physical dance. These open, technological architectures become vessels for a deeply human choreography: a ballet of binary completed by the presence of the audience.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the Pyramid, the Musée du Louvre has commissioned another major public artwork, inviting Elias Crespin to design a new permanent piece for the museum.
Consisting of 128 metal tubes hanging from motor-powered cables, the artist’s kinetic creation, 'L’Onde du Midi', will perform its subtle choreography at the top of the Escalier du Midi in the southeast corner of the Cour Carrée. Crespin thus follows in the footsteps of leading contemporary art figures who have created works for the Louvre, such as Anselm Kiefer (2007), François Morellet (2010) and Cy Twombly (2010).

The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Esteban Vicente presents Elías Crespin. Pneuma. Between the Silences of Movement, the first major solo exhibition in Spain dedicated to Elias Crespin.
The title of the exhibition refers to the Greek concept of pneuma, a term meaning breath, spirit, or vital impulse. Stoic philosophy used this word to describe the invisible force that organizes and maintains the cohesion of the universe. From this perspective, Crespin’s works can be understood as structures animated by an internal energy that drives them to transform constantly. Although their movements are the result of complex programming systems, the pieces seem to breathe, expand, and contract with an organic naturalness that transcends the technology that makes them possible.

In Parfume, "Sculpture of the invisible", the work "Transparent Vision" focuses on vision, not as a simple act of contemplation, but as an exploration of how to expand the experience of space and light. The piece is composed of thirty-two transparent glass tubes arranged in a circle, like a radiant crown, and a suspended central ring that seems to pulse at the heart of the void. Each tube, gilded with gold leaf at its outer edge, captures and reflects light in subtle glimmers, becoming suspended particles that engage in a silent dialogue with the viewer’s gaze. The glass, fragile and almost immaterial, creates a tension between the visible and the elusive, between presence and disappearance.
