L’Onde du Midi at the Louvre

To mark the 30th anniversary of the Pyramid, the Musée du Louvre has commissioned another major public artwork, inviting Elias Crespin to design a new permanent piece for the museum.
Consisting of 128 metal tubes hanging from motor-powered cables, the artist’s kinetic creation, 'L’Onde du Midi', will perform its subtle choreography at the top of the Escalier du Midi in the southeast corner of the Cour Carrée. Crespin thus follows in the footsteps of leading contemporary art figures who have created works for the Louvre, such as Anselm Kiefer (2007), François Morellet (2010) and Cy Twombly (2010).

Galerie Denise René, Paris presents a diverse selection of 16 artists. The exhibition showcases two media per artist: works on canvas or sculptures face works on paper (gouache, drawing, silkscreen, collage, pastel ...)

Going from one medium to another, this exhibition highlights different aspects of the artistic practice of historical and contemporary artists of the Denise René Gallery.

Duo show | Galería RGR + Art, Mexico City

RGR + Art gallery presents a unique exhibition arising from the dialog between Elias Crespin and Felipe Pantone. Curated by Tania Aedo, the exhibition explores the relationships that exist between time, movement and technology. It brings together 16 works, including two pieces that were specially made by both artists in collaboration for the show.

After a first 'Vibrations' show in their Parisian space in 2019, Danysz Gallery presents a second part of the exhibition in Shanghai. It presents international artists from the new generation of optico-kinetic art: 1010, Elias Crespin, Jan Kaláb, David Moreno, Felipe Pantone and Li Shurui.

Mouvement. Hommage à Denise René

The Château Bonisson Art Center in Rognes, in French Provence, organises an exhibition in memory of the Parisian gallerist Denise René. The show presents historical and contemporary artists from the gallery, in tribute of Denise René's role in the development of kinetic art since the 1950's.

The Villa Datris Foundation presents in its Parisian exhibition space 'Cinétique! La sculpture en mouvement', a selection of works from its collection. Echo ‘Révolution Xenakis’

In echo to the exhibition 'Révolution Xenakis', the Cité de la Musique presents a display of contemporary works among its historical collections. In dialogue with the museum's permanent pieces are presented kinetic artworks by artists from the generation of the composer, artist and architect Iannis Xenakis, and more contemporary ones.

Elias Crespin created a new sculpture for this exhibition, 'Plano mousikê', 2022, which slowly moves above nineteenth-century pianos.

'Lumière Espace Temps' presents works by 14 contemporary artists that explore the interactions between art and technology. The exhibition is a tribute to Nicolas Schöffer, a pioneer of cybernetic art.
